Air temp at start up?
Oil brand?
Oil viscosity?
Miles on current oil?
Sounds normal, but i'd like to know a little more.

That sounds normal to me. Sorry to hijack your thread but I recently investigated this quite a bit. I have a nasty sounding click on my 2015 C2S 22K miles which developed about 3K miles ago. I've seen a couple threads (991, 991GT3, and 981) and one had a great audio clip which sounds exactly like mine (attached). This happens ONLY when fully warm at idle and the cadence doesn't change when you rev the engine. Loudest on driver side. No issues with performance, everything else is as it was when I bought it almost 4 years ago. No definitive answers when other folks investigated this with results ranging from "engine failed" to "went away when oil was changed" to "has continued to do this for years with no problems". I'm taking car in sometime before warranty expires in Feb for a full inspection as this sounds like it could be costly.

If you can get the car up on a hoist and use the screwdriver method to locate the tapping noise it may help you go in with some idea of what is going on.
There are online videos as to how to do it, just have to be careful and use a long screwdriver, alternatively an engine stethoscope is useful.
Good luck.

Warm it up and give it a good thrashing.

There is a different tapping sound now.
Happens only between 600 and 800 rpm. The engine has been warmed up (after driving for 30 min). Oil is at max, the original factory oil. Car is at 2100 miles.

Relative to my 2018 C4GTS, all of your engine sounds are identical to my vehicle. And as the other SMEs, have indicated, I’ve noticed the tapping/clicking/other sounds decrease as the engine (oil and water) temperatures increase. So, I hope and expect your sounds are normal.

Having owned mine for two months now, I’ve come to the conclusion that the 991.2s simply make a lot of weird noises.

Just wanted to chime in but I have also heard that noise on a cold start. I am actually about to switch to Motul coming from Mobil 1 since it is a true ester base oil. Will do a follow up on my thoughts and curious to see if the noise goes away with new oil..
