Silver for platinum

Silver for platinum
Long shot. Recently purchased a 2015 4S. Currently of have the 20inch silver wheels on them which I like but I really want the same in platinum. Curious if someone has the platinum and wants to trade for the silver ones? I'll pay for the tires to be removed, mounted and balanced anywhere in the bay area.
currently the wheels on the car has no scratches or curbing.

Tried doing the same on the east coast. no takers.
Plan B, I've discovered that with stock brakes that if you do not wash your wheels they look exactly like the platinum. But ocd kicks in and I break down and clean them.

Just sell your set and buy the Plats...you only live once and no one should settle for what they have if they want something else; the Plats look WAY better with your color.

Why not just have them powder-coated whatever color and sheen you want?
Platinum satin? Boom. Should cost under $1k and your wheels will be in like new condition.

I ordered the basic Carrera S wheels and tried but was too late to change to platinum. OPC said no problem. They painted platinum in their body shop and added the coloured centres for 20% less than the option list price. Exactly the same, just as good.

So strange, the silver plat wheels don't match the silv plat paint. I have the silver plat paint and would like wheels that match with the same heavy flake. I may have painted eventually. Are the fatory wheels painted and does anyone know what type of paint (ie. is it water based or enamel) ?

What was the cost for doing your tips?

Great question...so these are the original factory stock tips and they were nasty. I recently purchased this 991 (CPO) with 21K miles. The car inside and out was in great condition but the previous owner did not pay much attention to the tips. The brushed aluminum look was still in tact but the ends were disgusting and I tried a few things to clean them up. So with that said (looking at the picture on the right in my previous post) you can see not only did they ceramic coat them very well but they cleaned them up inside and out. I was really impressed and they look great on the car (not sure if you can see them in this pic very well).
Final price out the door = $70. Sweeeet Deal...IMHO

MInes almost match my Agate grey, they had to redo the wheels before they released the car to me. I should have told them to powder coat it Satin Black or shinny black instead.
