991.1 Keyless Handle Failure?
My driver side keyless handle seems to be out, touching the handle does not unlock and pressing the black button does not lock. The antenna seems to be fine (because it will unlock after the handle is pulled and door opens on second pull) so I'm thinking the actual handle has failed, has anyone experienced this?
I read some posts about module failures on earlier cars hopefully that is not the case anymore b/c I'm not looking fwd to $1k just to get this back...

Finally fixed this, some notes for prosperity:
- Problem was wires broken at the handle, there is a pivot point so the cable flexes every time you open the door. The design is poor and likely to be troublesome for all keyless cars at some point.
- Decided to fix current handle via soldering instead of fitting replacement (as I had not yet gotten the replacement painted)
- Door panel, air bag and sub structure need to be removed but you can leave the lock in place

Nice to know and I suspect years from now people will be searching these forums about a failure and stumble across this.
