New-to-me 991.1 C2S
Well, I just got a 2014 C2S from CarMax. I was originally looking for a C4S, but then I realized that most clean builds with the options I was looking for were slightly above my budget. I found a nice C2S one-owner with 30k miles on it at CarMax, so here it is:
Apologies for the crappy cellphone pic.
A few random observations:
Apologies for the crappy cellphone pic.
A few random observations:
- Buying from CarMax is super easy, they're very chill and non-pushy
- Buying from CarMax -- they didn't bother detailing the car before handing it over... it's kinda grungy on the inside... they did offer me a complimentary post-purchase detail, but I'm not sure I want them doing it... maybe I'm overthinking this
- The build list I got off of vinanalytics.com was actually missing Navigation and the Light Design Package
- Post-purchase inspection coming up in a few days, so if I find any major issues I can return the car or get them fixed ASAP
- Stupid Virginia front license plate laws
- How do I peel off the CarMax decal without scratching the paint?

Heat gun or wife's hair dryer until it gets hot to the touch, then try to peel it slowly. If it doesn't work then soak a paper towel in rubbing alcohol and place it on top for at least 5 minutes, then try.

Welcome.
Snag the VIN number and run a build sheet. Would like to see what all is included.

Hair dryer only, heat gun gets too hot and can deform the bumper. Warm it up and it will come right off with your fingernails.
I'm in Northern VA and have never run a front plate on my Porsches or Aston Martin. Was 2008 last time I was ticketed. Big deal, $ 80 fine over a ten year period to not have to have that lousy looking plate on the front. I can do $ 8 a year....

Congratulations. Great color.
Being the douchebag I am, I cannot help but notice (and comment upon) how close you came to scraping up the nose in that parking spot. Yikes!
I second the clear side-marker recommendation. I plan to order them and do it at the dealership before driving home when my car arrives.
Best of luck with the car.

Nothing super fancy in the build, but like I said, this is missing the Navigation (maybe that was post-build-dealer updated?) and the light design package.

Looks nice. Enjoy.
I've sold a few cars to Carmax and have always had a good experience. And generally they do have competitive pricing on their cars. Did you buy one of their extended warranties?
Are you close to the Dulles Carmax? I just go my C2S cab. Maybe we can meet up?

Man, your car is parked REALLY CLOSE to that concrete rail.
Congrats on a great looking car.
