Default 2019 991.2 future collector car?????

Wondering if with the outgoing 991 and incoming 2020 992 if anyone thinks that the 2019 991.2 will likely hold value better and destined to become a desired collector 911 ? I’m in the market to buy new and debating on 2019 vs. waiting for the 2020 ? Thoughts are appreciated

LONG time to become "collector" but I'd certainly rather have the 19. TTS for me though.

If you have 1 of the 61 narrow bodied Canadian T cars or 1 of the 688 US narrow bodied T cars....maybe 😉

No, it won't unless it's a 5k-mile garage queen and 20 years from now.

If anything, the 992 may be the more collectible car if the 994 becomes all electric or all hybrid.

20-25 years from now you may be able to make a couple thousand more than you paid, if its perfect

great point I didn’t consider regarding the potential for future electric 👍

In 25 years all the electronics on our cars will be fried and they will be worthless. The 992 has more tech than the 991

The 2020 looks like it will be a better all around car. Even after a week the 991 is already looking dated. If I were you, I would look forward to a 992. None of this stuff is going to be collectible, even if you vacuum bag it.

Thank you for your opinion I’m tending to agree with you and it’s comforting knowing that in a 992 I’ll likely have a model that won’t be replaced for many years to come

Op- On the other hand,if you are indifferent about the changes and concerned about “ value”, I suggest you look at a 1 or 2 year old CPO car. You can get some great deals buying lightly used vehicles. A lot depends on whether you can find a car specced the way you want if you are picky.
