For those that had the hose snap right at the hood hinge area ..... did they replace with the same type of hose or is there an upgraded part?

It's a cheap and easy replacement with the stock part. I've replaced mine twice already and if it snaps again, I'll just replace the broken section with a piece of flexible tubing. Check out this thread for more details: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8609...hose-pics.html

Had it happen to me a few months back. Cheap plastic hose. Easy fix and a relatively inexpensive part. Looks like the same part (not upgraded). Next time it happens I'll go all MacGyver on it and reinforce it with some additional hose.

Well bummer. Some pencil protector wearing german engineer should have come up with a fix for such a cheap piece of plastic that fatigues over time.

I'll DIY it the next time. I still have a bit of CPO warranty left so I'll leave it to them along with some other items.
