Default Let’s DIY some Kamikaze ISM ceramic coating!

‘19 C-GTS in GT Silver
*Watch videos of ISM application on YouTube
1.) Start with a nice thorough wash of every surface you want to coat.
2.)While car is still wet, soak liberally with Iron-X.
wipe Iron X across surfaces. It will be semi-foamy & stink. Let it sit for 5mins. Rinse car thoroughly!
3.)Dry car
4.)Tape off trim & PPF seams/lines
5.)Prep paint with polish on a DA(compound first if you have scratches that warrant it).
6.)Wipe polish clean off all panels
7.)Remove tape
8.)Use Gyeon Prep sprayed on a clean microfiber to remove any traces of polish and to clean thoroughly all surfaces to be ISM coated
9.)Wipe ISM on as videos show. *The temp was about 60F when I did my mine and so I left it on each panel for 5mins before wiping panels down. I believe if it is substantially warmer, you would let ISM cure for less time before wiping.

This is not particularly difficult DIY. Get the right stuff together, watch videos & work in good lighting! We’ll see how it performs, but I’m pleased. DO all your black and plastic bits-ISM rocks on black trim!

The dropper really does suck-like they say in the videos. But you can get the job done with it.

Kamikaze makes fantastic stuff. Esoteric is in Ohio who is the distributor for it. Next time I need to coat a car, that is what I will be buying.

First wash after ISM diy 6 weeks ago. I'm very impressed. It seemed/felt like there was nothing to wash off the car after mere rinsing. And water flies off-whether with hosing off or drying w blower.
Will try "bead-maker" soon as drying aid/sacrificial layer, but for now I think the combo of ISM and cosmic spritz is amazingly good.

I have a black T incoming. I am going to have the dealer (the sub does incredible work) put the Suntek PPF on the front, but I think I am going to DIY the ceramic on the rest. Thanks for posting this! I'll check out the videos.

If you’re looking for a great car soap to use after coating check out CarPro Reset. Best stuff I’ve ever found, I coated my car with Gyeon Syncros after paint correction with my rupes and sonax perfect finish, but I’m telling ya, I’m very impressed with the carpro reset and using gyeon cure for spray sealant.

nice car and great work!
