So the differences by model are:111/100/55
Good info! I wonder what PASM alone weighs. Perhaps roughly the additional amount the .1 to .2 base to base increase has, over the S to S increase.

I don't think that PASM weighs quite that much. Besides, the 991.2 base has one size larger rear tires compared to the 991.1 and also thicker brake rotors. Those three items together probably account for the 11-pound greater weight increase than the S models experienced.

That makes sense. The new engine and related components should roughly account for about 100 lbs, which falls in line with the base/base S/S differences. The GTS is obviously harder to pinpoint since as you said, the .1 GTS had the complex manifold. The GTS was always supposed to be a "lightweight track focused daily driver model" and it seems it's teetered on being an "added luxury model" in ways on some models as well, so it appears perhaps Porsche put some extra effort into lightening up GTS weight for the 991.2, in comparison with its "lower" siblings. The standard weight takes into account the alcantara seats, which should save a few lbs itself over all leather. Then the non-active shutters, etc. Likely several little things that add up.

Anything to move the goal posts, eh. .2's of equal builds are factually heavier, easier on the blood pressure to just accept it.
Lol, that made me chuckle. Always good to be 100% sure of your facts before you go in so strongly

I remember someone stating that the additional 991.2 weight was from all the extra plumbing for the turbos, and the actual turbos themselves. At least the additional weight is down low

Except they'd make "limited" 14 of them and ADM would be $100k for 6 lbs stripped out.

I think one where you can’t tell she is in the car is ideal.

I'm thinking of removing the insulation under carpet, removing all lining in frunk, removing windshield washer reservoir (who uses that anyway), rear seat delete, and somehow get light weight door.

My goal is 2999 pounds. Am I crazy?
It's interesting to see all these post. I'm getting the feeling that aiming at a "more track orientated car" might wind up an unsatisfactory half-way house. You've got a regular, factory car, I guess ? So, whilst I'm all for taking weight out of 'production' 911s (eg. I thought the Carrera T was disappointingly heavy) I fear, adopting most of these weight-saving options fellow Rennlisters have suggested, you'll wind up with a car that's neither ideal for track nor road, winding up with a compromise in both modes. Plus, you've got to consider potential impact on your warranty which, I presume, you still have.

Here in Europe, AG tends to run its OPCs with classic, teutonic severity, so arsing about with non-OEM sport cats and plugging in non-OEM L-I batteries causes much beard-stroking and shaking of heads: ie. OPCs will not advise and will not carry out the works. However, you may not consider this a downside

Ultimately, you've got two methodologies: the Colin Chapmanesque one of 'Just add lightness' and the other, straight de-contenting. For the US, you'd probably get away with a total exhaust system change to, say, Fabspeed which will probably shed some pounds. (BTW:My OPC here wouldn't countenance it. I asked !), change your wheels to forged and (shock, horror) drop to 19" which will always be lighter than 20"(305 rear section) equivalents, retrofit a lighter brake disc/pad (not necessarily carbons) and, lastly, change the battery to L-I: ie. the classic tyres/wheels/brakes/battery/exhaust combo. Why AG didn't do that for the Carrera T is quite beyond me....but that's another story and an opportunity missed.

As for de-contenting: well, the world's your oyster. Please post us a video of you ripping out the door cards, carpets, seats, headlining, sun visors, sound deadening, tyre inflator, plastic scuttle cover etc., though I suspect that might be, for us who walk in fear of AG's wrath, to something akin to watching a grown-man undergo root-canal work without anaesthetic.....

Give AutoQuest MotorSports a shout, they have ST ceramic rotors that might fit your car. Half the price of buying PCCBs and all the weights benefits plus a lot more advantages over conventional ceramics.
