Default Wheel and tire protection - good price?

We started at $2600 and went down to $1800. Is this a good deal?

I'm n favor of self insuring for extended warranties. This is my fourth Porsche and in total have not spent that much on repairs, but I not drive about 3,000 miles per year. Just my 2cents.

This was tire and wheel protection - in case you hit a curb, or something - which I always tend to do. What I am wondering if this would be a good price? One wheel costs about $1500 brand new.

I just went on a 300 mile road trip. Car started driving a little strange. Dropped it off at the dealer. Nails in both passenger side tires. Was not losing air but Porsche will not fix. Cost me about $1,000.

I think $1,800 seems like a good deal (especially since it covers wheels too), but it depends on where you live and what the roads are like. There is so much construction here. I have had 4 flats in 2 years. Crazy.

Make sure the policy is transferrable so if you sell car before insurance period is done, you get a pro-rated refund...........the cost of wheels these days, bad roads, etc......the policy usually pays for itself if a daily driver.......

What’s the coverage period? For reference, I got the Porsche-branded 7 year policy for $2000.

I also got windshield included for that price. Verify duration - 3 year or 4 year?

Should at least go to end of vehicle warranty

I just paid $1800 for wheels, tires, small dents, and replacement keyfobs insurance package from my dealer on my C4S. He also started his pitch at $2500, room for negotiation. Unfortunately, another dealer pulled the wool over my eyes for the same package on my M3 and I agreed to the $2450. Lucky him, I purchased the M before the C4S 3 months apart.

‘What’s the term for the insurance? I’m paying about $2800 (in Canada) for just wheel and tire and dent for 36 months.
