Default C2S 991.1 COBB tuning anyone?

I just got my 2014 C2S and I love it to bits, however I want to ECU tune it with COBB as I hear it's pretty popular. Anyone have experience using this in there NA C2S? Mine is NA MT.

Thanks,
Will

Where did you hear that it is fairly popular? A lot less potential with tuning an NA 991.1 versus a turboed 991.2...

Its alright on the .1. A little better with the PDK maps.

it works best with some bolt ons and higher octane than 91.

IMO its best to add sport headers and IPD plenum + a pro tune.. Pro tune means someone (a tuner) makes a custom map for you on the dyno using your Cobb Accessport.

I'm a purist. I won't go turbo route.

Stage one with stock on NA MT gives 20+ HP. That is pretty noticeable as it is "probably" 997.1 GT3 quick.

headers, sports cats, and a tune is what works on a 991.1

I didn't notice any difference on my .1 C4S PDK with the stage one map.. Maybe slightly better throttle response. The PDK maps made a bigger difference in feel.

With the Stage 1 and PDK map the car was only able to pull a 12.5 in the 1/4 mile.

Thats as much info as I can give you.

20HP claim is bogus.

I;m sure the Cobb AP does add some HP but its marginal. I own one, and I think its more about changing the way the car behaves rather than the power gains. The biggest benefit I noticed is that the car feels peppier down low, so in city driving you don't get as much hesitation from a start or when in the 2000-4000 rpm range. You'll definitely notice this right off the bat... I agree with the above that any claims of HP gains, especially for stock I/H/E is probably a placebo effect

I also recently switched from the Stage 1 v1.01 (v101) to the Stage 1 version 2.00 (v200) profile (both 91 octane) and noticed its a lot more aggressive with throttle response across the RPM range. It's like driving in Sport mode all the time, and Sport is kinda like Sport Plus. The gains in throttle response in these modes is less noticeable as a result but still do function well for shifting.

This is pretty much spot on..

However, there could be a small catch. We have some of the worst gas in the country and these cars really should be living off 93 in the first place. So running a crappy version of 91 is kind of a double negative.

I'm curious to see if running the 93 or 100 map would show a noticeable bump in power/tq.

If Sport feels like Sport Plus, what does Sport Plus feel like then?

I had the Cobb Stage 2 tune with Kline exhaust on my previous 991.1 4S NA car. The tune is a minimal upgrade in power with mostly improved throttle response and some lower end grunt. Car was more responsive but power pick up is small. Not sure I would do it again on an NA car.

I have the Cobb tune on my TTS and it is a totally different story.
