Default Coolant leak

I just noticed a leak towards the back of my 2018 911 Carrera yesterday. 3k miles. I have an appointment for Saturday.

Im not an auto expert, however is this from the water pump area? (Hopefully the video posts). I’ve probably lost 3 ounces of coolant. It looks like it is coming from the case gasket.

I saw the previous post as well.

I had the same on my 2015 GTS at 3000 miles. I did not care where it was coming from. I took it right back to the dealer without question. He fixed it immediately. I cleaned up my garage floor.

Take it to your dealer - most likely water pump, will be replaced under warranty - not a big deal

I had this happen recently. The water pump was replaced by my dealer last week. 2017 Carrera S w/ 21k miles.

According to my dealer this is a pretty common problem that they have seen. My 2017 c2 water pump went out at 500 miles. They replaced the water pump and I haven't had any issues since. My salesmen also said the one he leased went out with 400 miles. Its a good thing you found it before the car died on the side of the road like his did.

I put on 2000 miles since the water pump was replaced and haven't had any issues. Crossing my fingers.

I wonder what the root cause of the water pump failures is? This is quite disappointing.
