Default 2015 Carrera C2 Base

Hello, I have an opportunity to purchase a 2015 Carrera C2 base model for a very good price. Mileage is under 20K and the car looks, drives and just feels as new. This build also has some nice additions, metallic paint, sliding glass sunroof, 14 way sport seats w.the premium package, Bose. All and all, a very sweet car though, not the sexist or the fastest or the most exotic 911 but, one I could afford. So, my question to the forum, at the end of the day, isn't this all the 911 one would need for a daily/weekend fun ride? I had been looking at the new T but, really would be a financial stretch and stress to go that deep and it would seem this car, though not turbo (which I prefer NA engines anyway) and no option for rear wheel steering, I would think this 15 would be just as fun, probably lighter and maybe, just as satisfying over the years.
Like I said, this would be more a daily, all weather car. I have a 964 C2 as my weekend love already.

I am sure you would love it if it has everything you need and the color combo is what you like. A “base” 911 is still one of the most livable high performance cars there are and yes - it is high performance when compared to most everything backed with great reliability and liveability as an every day car. True sport car royalty. Go for it!

Had a 2015 C2 MT and loved it, zero issues.

High revving but lacking low end torque, a blast to drive on open roads but can become tiresome around the city.

Very true and don't worry that it is the entry model 911 since to most every other person you will be driving a 911, and having fun doing it.

Exactly, I drive a 991.2 base (lava orange) and our manager thought it was quicker than the black GT3 next to it simply due to the color...

I had a 2014 C2 and a 2016 C2, both these cars were bullet proof. I can't say enough about the NA C2. I tracked both of them and the only reason I decided to move from them was the suspension limitations for camber adjustments. They love being driven above 4500 rpms and the torque issues become meaningless at these levels. It is simply a great car. Just my 2c.

I was in a similar situation to the OP. I recently found a base 2013 C2 with 18k miles with virtually every option I wanted in nearly flawless condition, all at a great price. I don't think that I could be happier with it... especially if the next level of incremental happiness would have cost me an extra $30k.

If it's going to be your DD and it's got the features and options you want without breaking the bank, then you can't go wrong with the base 911. I say pull the trigger and don't look back.

I have a 2015 C2 and I am enjoying it very much. The 991.1 C2 is pretty sedate if left in normal mode, but it wakes up if in Sport/Sport+ and/or manually shifting (PDK). It's plenty of fun in the canyons, is rock solid dependable, gets great mileage if driven like a regular car, and with simple changes looks as good as any higher end 911, IMO.

If this is a daily driver and street car, you will NOT regret buying and driving it.

This summer I bought a base 2014 Carrera optioned like the car you’re thinking about. It may not be a GT3, but it’s a great car. I sold a 996 turbo to get this car. Doesn’t feel slower than than the 996 turbo and is a much better car. It may not be as cool or exotic as a GT3, but my retirement account thanks me for going for a lower cost option

I have a 2015 C2 PDK with 56k miles, and it still drives like a new car. I get a smile on my face every time I get in it. I made the conscious decision against the C2S, because it's a road car that I daily drive & the extra S goodies just didn't offer me much. You'll love it.

i was in the same position. looking for months, for either a base or S. I recently found a base cpo 2016, one owner, service history all done on time and at dealer, manual with 7500 miles. didnt have all the options i wanted or the bigger brakes etc, but I am very happy with my decision and purchase. the car is mint and like new inside and out. Its a blast to drive and still plenty fast enough. I'd say go for it, i dont regret my decision for buying a super low miles base over a higher mileage S.

I was only looking for an S and came across a ‘14 base that checked just about every box. I bought it eleven months ago. It was a cpo with three years of warranty, 2,500 miles, near perfect condition and 25k in options that included pasm and sport chrono. 110k build. Paid 72k for it. Very happy with the car and plenty fast if you keep the revs above 4k. The only thing I am not totally happy with is the pdk. I miss shifting gears and might sell it for a manual.

Great Thread as I am in the same position as the OP. I pretty much decided earlier today to go for a base over an S, and possibly get a convertible.
