911 Road Trip
#16
Have fun! I’m heading to Topeka from St. Louis Saturday. I have a private track day at heartland on Sunday with EMP. I’m driving the Porsche four and half hours to the track, tracking it and than driving it home. Of course I will be in a hotel

Friday’s drive
We enjoyed another spirited drive down to Oark Arkansas, they really do a great job planning the events and road trips. On average I’d say there’s 25 cars per group, which IMO is about the max you can logistically keep together safely and find parking places for rest stops and lunch break. Weather was cool yesterday morning, but once the sun broke through and warmed the pavement the speeds picked up and we had a blast.

Back home
What a week, gonna feel good to slip back into my own bed tonight.
Let me say PCA-Pallooza is a really fun event that any enthusiast should give serious consideration to attend. Melody and Leonard along with a multitude of volunteers put on a great event. The organized drives originated out of Eureka Springs and head south through some of the most spectacular roads I’ve ever driven on. Spirited driving would be a great way to characterize these trips, allowing you to really see what these cars are capable of doing through the corners. I’m a better driver now for sure.
This event drew people from all over the country, but Texas by far had the most representation. The crew from Kansas City were well represented as well.
Here’s a few more pictures, it’s was a fantastic week.
This car drove up from Dallas, check out the grime behind the wheels. 😊
Discussing our options, we took a wrong turn.
It was a frost start at 19 degrees.
Wicked looking.
Fred from Kansas City, great car - good people in that club. Start of Porsche Parade.
