I live in south Florida so Champion Porsche is fairly close to me but I have never been there and yes I am aware of their employees stealing customer deposits so Porsche of broward county isn’t that far from me either.
The corvette is such a Beast. I went from a 2017 Z06 convertible to a 2018 911 Turbo. Crazy to say this but sometimes I question the move.

I love this acceleration and want something that can replicate that kind of performance in a stock car without going over $120k in price. Here in south florida we dont have curves so its all about straight line fun.

EDIT: Whoops I read that as 8-10 percent off.

$8-10k could certainly be possible, especially on a more expensive Targa GTS.

I don't think you will find 10 percent off unless it is a lot car.

No. Its a brand new car. Not sure how much they will discount it though. Seemed fairly stripped with few options other than PDK but im not sure about all the Porsche options.

6% off for me on my ordered Targa GTS came to just under $10k off.

By the way, I was throwing out some feelers to see if someone was interested in buying my soon to arrive Targa GTS but the thread was removed. I guess it was in violation of the rules and if so I am sorry for posting it. Long story short, I had originally ordered a Targa 4S and spec'd it to the point where a GTS was the better value, which in hindsight should not have been a priority. I found out I could get a Targa 4S allocation and was thinking I could order one as I had intended and thought I could let everyone know my ordered GTS was available so I started a thread. I will probably stick with the GTS though since after sleeping on it I don't really want to wait and the 4S would be a very close build to the GTS. But if someone thought I was just trying to flip a car that person is mistaken.

Maximum discounts once the 992s launch next month. 10% should be achievable on a car in stock for sure at that time IMO but the GTS has a following so you may have to flex on what you would take off the lot

Bob wait is too painful, your car is almost here and life is short.

btw - why the S over GTS? I am sure you would order everything you would want in either

In regards to the 992 if someone wants a GTS, Targa, etc. it will be a while before the 992 version comes out so I doubt discounts on those lot cars will increase.

And I liked the S better than the GTS since the SC wart is something I really did not want considering I am getting a manual albeit I should get used to it. There were a few other things such as well such as gloss black wheels on the 4S that I could not get on the GTS. But as of this minute I am sticking with the GTS.

Bob is correct. The Targa 992 will not be shipping for perhaps another 2 years. So, it will ONLY be 991.2 Targa's until maybe 2020. No discounts will be necessary because car will be the same with no body changes.

In a coupe, for the money, I liked the bargain priced S loaded with options. Hate the center-lock GTS wheels. And the S is easily upgraded to GTS power with the affordable X51 PowerKit that I had dealer-installed on mine for relatively small change after selling my S takeoff turbos.

Sorry, I read that wrong. I meant 8-10 percent off a lot car might be possible, not $10k. 10 percent on an ordered car is unlikely.

I have heard of several folks getting 4-6 percent on an ordered GTS, sometimes a little more if you have bought other Porsches with them recently.

In a coupe, for the money, I prefer a relatively bargain-priced S, low mileage, loaded with options, including Sport Pkg and PDCC/SPASM (-20mm). Hate the center-lock GTS wheels. And the S is easily upgraded to GTS power with the affordable X51 PowerKit that I had dealer-installed on mine for relatively small change after selling my S takeoff turbos. In 3+ years, when my warranty runs low and reliability results are in, I'll consider a tune...
I consider mine a narrow body GTS, with better than typical GTS options.

The aversion to center lock wheels I just don't understand. I took off my summer wheels and put on the winters on Saturday. This is my third time doing the swap (I've had my car for 18 months) and the CLs are really quite easy to change. They look great and are a little more special than the standard 5-lug set up. To each their own, but in my own experience it's really just a wheel change.

Sorry to distract from the thread. I also happen to love my Targa GTS and would definitely not consider swapping out that order for a Targa 4S.
