I just picked up a 2014 50th anniversary with 8000 miles that had $6000.00 in service cost , as others above stated never let dealers tell you what needs to be done they will take all your money
oil service 4 times
brake flush 2 times
air filters changed
cabinet filters changed
replaced plugs ,tune up
each visit checked the bull****
,
i will ill do my own basic services going forward

A bit off topic, but I'm confused about the service intervals. I had my 2-yr. service done a few months ago (had about 15k miles on it at the time), and then last week I got notifications from both the dealer and PCNA that my car is nearing 20k miles and I should bring it in for service. This is just an oversight on their part because my car was already serviced, right?

I think the service intervals are 2 yrs or 20K miles and 4 yrs or 40K miles, whichever comes first.
So yeah, an oversight.

This has been posted before. Service intervals for the 991.1.

You don't even need to do brake fluid on a car that new. For street driving fluid lasts a long long time. I hope people understand that many of Porsche's "maintenance" recommendations are really revenue-generation recommendations for Porsche dealerships.

Has anyone had any experience with pre-purchased maintenance package? This will lock in the cost and only the Porsche recommended maintenance will be performed.
Haven't had the need to do this but curious as to other's experience.
Never mind, found prior threads.

So the assertion that brake fluid degrades over two years due to atmospheric moisture getting absorbed is BS? I understand that the brake system is closed, so that seemed unlikely to me, but I guess it's plausible over time. I bought a '17 with 180 miles on it last May, and since the car was two years out from its build date, I held the dealer's a$$ over a barrel until he agreed to change it for me as part of the purchase deal

Update regarding the alignment: the steering feels lighter with that rear wheel camber change. It feels more like the other 911s I test drove. Not sure I like it better [yet] but tire wear is important since this is a Monday-Friday DD for me.
