I wish the SC trim on the GTS cars was Black, just like the dash gauges, and no one makes a trim ring that I am aware of. Has anyone swapped it out for the Black one that comes on the GT cars? They are only about $600 but when I asked Suncoast they said since it was an electrical item they would not try it, which I took as if it did not work I would not be able to return it.

are you talking about just the bezel? Can you take off and powder coat it?

There is not really a bezel since it is all one piece so I don't think it is that easy.

Are you also changing out the other metallic accents in the interior (steering wheel, door latches, etc.)? There is a lot of it in there to blend...

No, just the SC (maybe). There is just too much metallic otherwise! But the dash gauges are Black so the SC should be as well.

And that is why Suncoast basically tried to talk me out of buying it since if it did not work they did not want me to get stuck with it. I really do not see why it would not work since the functionality is the same, size, etc.

I guess I could try that as long as I could make it look perfect, which I am not sure I could do. I want it to look identical, but I will consider that as a last resort after the car gets here in about a month.
