Got my oil and filter changed, but my 991.1s doesn't believe me...help!
Fellow Renlisters,
I got the the oil and filter changed in my new (to me) 991.1s for the first time. Leading up to the oil filter change, I'd get the yellow alert in the pcm indicating, 'change oil within next 500 miles', as part of routine maintenance. I had that done, got the car back, but the indication still pops up every time I start the car. I have to acknowledge it then it clears. This isn't the warning in the odo indication a problem and when I check the oil level all appears normal.
Any advice on how to clear this seemingly scheduled maintenance reminder?
Appreciated!

You have to reset the oil change warning. If you took it to a shop to change the oil, you have to take it back and have them reset. If you did it yourself, you have to buy a OBD reset scanner

unless the shop is a porsche shop or work on them alot, they orob dont have it. i bought a chinese made launch scanner on ebay and it works to reset the service lights
