Default Is a periodic clutch adaptation needed on PDK transmissions?

Tried this question on the Turbo forum but didn't get an answer so thought I'd try over here where there's considerably more technical traffic: I notice my clutch seems to be a bit 'soft' when taking up first thing while cold (i.e., it's like I'm being really easy on engaging the clutch). It's pretty tight and crisp within a few minutes once everything starts to get warmed up. Still, I'm new to these automated-manuals and wondering how often does the clutch need to go through any sort of adaptation or re-learning sequence? Thanks, Doug

I experienced this short term on a replacement pdk. However it went away fairly quick and did not return. I’ve since traded up.

Our 2012 997 has periodically acted in this manner all its life. Two out of the three 991s on our block also exhibit this tendency on cool mornings. Typically, the dealer told them this was normal. We all find that things feel solid after less then a minute and a few shift cycles.
