Heated steering wheel ? Problem
its been cold here lately so last weekend I turned on the heated steering wheel. In the past with other vehicles a heated wheel feels warm to the touch. Not so here. Has the Porsche wheel a thermostat ? Just felt room temp.
Anyone have ave a heated wheel ? Is this how it’s supposed to work ?

Weather isn't cold where I am at but when I tried it, it was warm to the touch. Ambient temp could have an impact I suppose but I would think you should feel it.

You definitely feel it, it gets warm very quickly. Are you seeing the heated steering wheel message on your gauge display screen confirming you've activated it on the bottom between the bottom spoke of the wheel?

Crap
No heated wheel message no matter how much I push the button. Did see the message when I picked the car up and accidentally turned it on.
Crap. Oh well that’s what warranties are for 😜

Can feel mine, actually gets a bit too warm and I have to shut it off....doesn't take long to heat up. Only use it when I jump into a cold car and just need the warmth to take the inital edge off if I'm parked outside somewhere. Feel the same about my heated seats as well.
No complaints, better than being too cold.

Mine is bi-polar. I like it when it works though.
If you drive with the windows down the cool air cools the wheel down tremendously. If you leave the windows up and drive with a sealed cabin it stays warm.

I had an issue with mine as well when I tried mine for the first time last year. No message in the instrument cluster - no heat. It was fixed by the dealer under warranty - (bad circuit board in the steering wheel) and now I have a message and heat. However, compared to our BMW X3, it is not as hot as it is. Adequate though.

One thing I didn't realize was that you have to press the button for a second or two to turn the heater on. I thought mine wasn't working until my wife showed me how to turn it on. Maybe it's that? (hope so)

That doesn't seem to be the case for me, just a quick accidental touch while I'm turning will turn it on in my 991.2. Not sure I like the placement of that button, I wish it was on the side of the steering column or something like that instead.

I do the same thing occasionally.

Lol, where's that "things you didn't know you had" thread. I found the button, now have to try it tomorrow, but it's 80F+ here. Thanks OP, hope yours get fixed.
