Default Sick and tired of the brake squeaking on 991.2 gts

How come I can buy a pos Prius with no brake squeal but my 100k plus 911gts is horrendous? There needs to be a recall/tsb. Anyone else?

Same on my 991.1 GTS. If I wash it...or do a hard brake it will go away for a very short time. Annoying!!

Has it always been like that? I bedded my brakes right after getting mine and haven't had any issues at all after 3500 miles.

Only in reverse, after a wash for me. Which was a tiny bit embarrassing because a 10/10 milf walked by my house as I was backing out and squeaking for the first time ever a couple days ago

These are high performance brakes. Part of life. Get PCCB.

Didn’t have an issue till I put on some Padgit 29s. Get a low speed squeal almost without fail, may need to go back to factory for around town and trade out for track days.

These brakes need to be worked regularly to stay quiet. Expressway and boulevard driving won't do it. They need some hard stops from high speed to stay or get bedded in.

My 997 was that way and the same for my dot 2. Comes with the territory. Porsche even did a video explaining it.

PCCB and only experience brake noise in the aftermath of a track day, which lasts for 2-3 days. I don’t know why or how, but 8,000 miles on my car and brake noise has never been an issue.

3000 miles in on my steel brakes and zero noise. Same with my macan, that is until I did my brake and rotor service at 40k, now it squeals like I’m trying to murder a pig...

This. I don’t wash my wheels on after drive rinses, and do the deep clean on the wheels and brakes only if i know I’m going to drive and completely dry the discs. Good thing the difference between squeaky clean and a nice patina of brake dust isn’t that noticeable on the GTS CL’s. I also don’t set the parking brake in the garage, but just leave it gear. I get a mild clunk the first time I use the brakes in reverse backing down the drive. Alsways make sure I get on the brakes hard a few times while driving. 4.5K no squeaking.
