991 Extended Warranty Experience
I'm going to buy a 991 this fall at some point and am looking into aftermarket non-CPO warranties for a DD for adding 4/48,000 miles of coverage to a car that already has 50-60k on it.
Have been quoted from National almost $5k w/$100 deductible.
Looking for feedback on:

Looking for feedback on:
- Experiences good/bad with National and their payout at dealership/private shops.
- Amount paid for a similar 4/48k warranty with either National or another company.
- Other companies/options

Back in 2015 I did Porsche driving school at Barber. Long story short they throw you the keys to a Turbo S and let you launch it until you get sick or bored of it. When I got out I asked the employee how many launches he thought the car had and he said minimum 10k and yet to have an issue. Is that exageration maybe but I've never heard if guys having issues stemming from properly launching there 991. I wouldn't worry about launching just focus on finding the right car with the right ownership history and pay for a PPI at your local dealer. Goodluck !

I'm about to purchase a Fidelity Platinum 3/36 on my '13 that has 41k miles on it. It's about $4100 with a $250 deductible. I'm going with that because my service advisor says they have a contract with them and they will pay Porsche's rates and times. I'd check with someone where you plan on servicing your car.

i had fidelity platinum with $100 deductible on my cayenne s, once the original warranty was over I used it 3 times at the dealer. they paid out every time without any hassles etc. I would highly recommend, i never had a problem with fidelity paying for warranty repairs.

Fidelity. I had the Platinum on my S4, and then when that was up, got the Powertrain. Powertrain ended up paying out $11k for a DSG transmission replacement. When my CPO expires, I will be getting the same warranty, either Platinum or Powertrain on my 911.

I just got a 991.1 with extended warranty and am almost looking for things to have fixed. So far just the engine cover struts that are weak and could be replaced. What are some things people have had covered and replaced with their 991s?

water pumps and COV valves are the most common 991.1 fixes
