I love that the dealership told you to not worry about it. "If it's important, you'll find out sooner or later". lol

Looks upside those openings in your rear deck lid under where the satellite radio antenna is and make sure it's not missing this part (there should be a rounded rectangular hole directly underneath the antenna housing). You basically found it in the exact spot where you'd expect it to land if it had fallen out...

If it did fall out, you may want to dig through your garbage as you can only get that part with an entire antenna assembly for ~$110...

So did you remove or replace your satellite antenna hump?

Yes, I had the pleasure of replacing my satellite radio wart on my GT3... Porsche decided to deliver it with a black wart despite the car being green, so I bought a new one, had it painted to match, and swapped it in.

I didn't check until this morning (since it was not really important). After all, it was not from my car. Thanks for the follow-up. I will keep that part as it was a special gift from my dealer or for whoever needs it. LOL

Thanks again Mech33

@ Mech33, thanks for that info...so, my SAT radio died in my 2018 Targa GTS...they replaced the antenna...now there is a gap (that I don't remember) between the plastic 'hump' and the glass...will tightening that screw close that gap down a bit? I know there is a gasket that seats on the glass...

There is always some gap, but that gap looks particularly big. You could try tightening that screw to see if it helps, as it definitely pulls the antenna down. It will only pull it so far until the plastic screw surround bottoms out against the body panel, leaving a small gap between the antenna and the painted panel surface by design (to keep the seal in slightly compression).

The "hump" may be reversed. On my coupe, the sloping surface faces forward. The hump does have gap all around of equal size and I am able to get a fingernail between it and the surface underneath.

Good catch! Yes it looks like his antenna is reversed.
