Anyone have Porsche do PPF in Atlanta?
Well, I did it. Traded the 17 911 Endurance in on a 2019 GTS! Im thinking of doing Atlanta delivery, but I do NOT want to drive it without PPF. My SA said he thought Porsche would do it in Atlanta...anyone have this done? If so...was it done right?
thx!!

FWIW, an alternative is to apply temporary track film or blue painters tape yourself, for the drive home & take it ti a local PPF installer.
Besides being able to shop around for a great installer, at a reasonable price, you can bring it back, if a local shop, during the warranty, if any issues arise.

So, I think he means via the PEC and not an outside vendor. They do something with Xpel, I believe, but I don't know who actually does the work. Someone posted previously that it will extend your delivery date by a couple of weeks.

3 Porsche cars through Hennessy (David) all turned out great. I Had one Porsche for 8 years. I just had my truck done by David 2019 Ram black and it's great and he gets back with you. He also works with a tint business and it's one stop shopping. I would rather work with the dealer and combine service, tint and ppf in one trip (dropoff).

I guess he has gotten better. That is good to know. But, I will stick with the guy who has done at least 10 cars for me and all have been perfect. Derek has a tint guy working out of his shop too.

+! for detailed designs, though last I heard he was booked through the rest of the year. You could also try apogee, shine auto, and southeast auto shield though I have no personal experience with those. Also Dereck comes well recommended at http://www.atlantaprotectivefilms.com though he stays 5 weeks booked out and only does partial ppf, not full.

When I picked up my car in Atlanta in early 2017, I had paid my local dealer for Xpel so I could drive home with some protection. But Porsche did not provide the service or allow a vendor access to the car before I took delivery. We then arranged (at the last minute) for Shine Auto to pick up the car with a flat bed when we were done at PEC. I was frustrated with PEC, but Shine Auto did a good job, and had it done by early afternoon the following day so we could start for home almost as originally planned.

I hope they did a great job with the PPF however, what will you do if you have an issue & need to use the PPF warranty? Drive back to Atlanta?
I will have my PPF done locally & will use temporary protection for the drive home from PEC.
