991.2 S/GTS Front Caliper source
I'm looking at upgrading the brakes on my T for the track. , Who sells 991.2 S/GTS front calipers? The plan is to pair them with 350mm Giro disc rotors and high temp fluid.
Thanks

Make me an offer. I am thinking of up grading my GTS brakes for some Brembo GT-R 380mm or Some AP Racing 6169.

I need a price on these bad boys.

Brembo GT-R
These are around $8,600 for fronts. I bet the Ap won't be any cheaper?

Doesn't Brembo own AP Racing now? I think the only difference in pricing will be replacement rings. These are the ring replacements for the Ford Performance FP350S race car. Compare them to Brembo replacements.

FWIW I will initially upgrade the rotors of my T to a slightly larger (Girodisc) size, using spacers. Then add suitable track pads and SRF fluid, keeping the stock calipers. Might be enough to do the job. This approach worked pretty well for my Cayman. Doesn’t brake like a GT4, but I can still catch up to quite a few cars in braking zones.

On the phone, girodisc mentioned they are developing a rotor specific for the 991.2 application very soon. The current rotors are for the 997. You might wanna call them and wait a little

The goal is to avoid overheating - I definitely plan on larger disks, fluid and pads - but figured at that point why not upgrade the front calipers to S/GTS level (while I'm in there). I've also just considered going to a larger set up from racing brake to add the ease of track pad changes without caliper removal. Slippery slope

Some of us have installed the Girodisc rotors on our 991.1's and if you use a 997.2 Turbo S front rotor you can use the larger GT3 front brake pads with them. Not sure if this applies to your cars but use what you can.

I'd suggest getting better pads and better fluid first. I changed my 3.4 brakes to the s brakes and honestly there wasn't much difference.
Unless you're doing endurance events/wheel to wheel, your current setup with new pads and fluid should be sufficient for DE and time attack.
