I'd like to think we are all here to share and learn. We always appreciate input and have implemented suggestions in the past. We will definitely revisit accommodating the plastic hanger. Our initial impression and tech comments led us to believe there were many ways around it and didn't warrant modification.

Just picked up one of these for my new-to-me 991.1S. Figured since I'm road tripping it home with my wife and 2 kids, the frunk is going to be at near full capacity and this will give me some piece of mind against damage.

Great decision. Whether or not to get one of these frunk lid protectors is a matter of how much you care about potential damage to the aluminum frunk lid and what items you put in there. I bought this for my car along with the Porsche tub that sits in the bottom of the frunk itself. Both of these items make using the frunk a lot more worry free. Everyone has a different view of what caring for their car looks like and so they can choose to have these items or not. Freedom of choice.

I just came across this after seeing a reference elsewhere - good idea and not a lot of coin for piece of mind. And I could care less about it not having a hole in it.

Thanks (?) so much for bumping up this thread.
I absolutely positively must have one of these lid liners now. Yesterday, I didn’t even know they existed.
The list of Porsche accessories that cost “less than 0.2% of what I paid for my 991” really add up!
