Just get it. Cheap, easy, and effective. Almost defies reason.

Yes!

I just looked at the trunk lid of my Jaguar & it has a inside lid liner. Maybe a stiff felt or carpet. Similar to the carpet liner inside the trunk. But, feels stiffer, more substantial. I don't recall seeing an inside lid with absolutely nothing, like the 911 has. Even the inside hood has a liner on my cars.

I don't like the idea that paying $200+ for this Lid Liner causes you to actually lose a feature! That place to hang the engine cover, if need to do any checking or work. Yes, you can cut a hole, as mentioned but, it is annoying to pay $200+ for a product that you then need to modify.

Isn’t this the “Das Schild” available from Suncoast ($195)? I bought one as I had it on my 997 and “finished” the underside of the hood.

The fact that it would help in avoiding an outward hood ding was just a bonus.

BTW, I bought the “tub” as well, just cheap insurance when I don’t pay attention.

I looked up Suncoast & they have the same part from same company for $195 & much higher shipping.
BTW, how does the tub help as cheap insurance? I thought it was just a plastic bin that fits the inner space exactly. Not sure why I would need that. Maybe if you are carrying messy, dirty items?
There must be a waterproof mat for the bottom with a lip? If Porsche does not make one, WeatherTech or other companies might.

Yep
$109

Why would a tub be better?

Search the other hood liner threads. There is a discount code there for Das Schlid.

Tub helps with spills or dirty luggage. Lid liners help with objects too tall or too bouncy under way.

Had a bag of fertilizer split on me when I had my 997....took me awhile to vacuum all the little granules out of the carpet. If I had a tub in the 997 (they didn’t make one or I could find one), a quick scoop up or vacuum and it would have been done. Would have been a minor disaster if a liquid spilled...depending on what type.

So they make one for the 991 and it’s installed.

Security. If I am leaving the car somewhere...dealer, detailer etc, I can pull the tub out with my personal belongings and leave it in my garage...

Ditto, and the tub has grab spots to make it easy to lift out. I bought one for my Cayman and it fit perfectly in the 911. If you like bargain shopping, you can check out the Cayman part and on eBay.

Hi Dan. Where did you get the frunk liner tub? I got the lid liner ordered. I guess I should finish it off. I go to Costco in my 911 so it will get good use.

Buy this!!

Got to Target or Walmart and buy this plastic storage bin and save a bunch of money. No one will see it anyway and it will do as good a job of holding your **** as the overpriced tub with the Porsche logo on it.

i bought mine from Suncoast Porsche parts store. The 981 bin fits the 991. you could also check out eBay. I went with Porsche brand becuase it is form fit and wont waste any of that precious real estate.

Care to tell us which exact one you bought @ Tgt or WM & how tightly it fits?

Suncoast Front Trunk Liner - 991/981/718 #SKU991FLCL
$169.95 (MSRP $209.91)
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991FLCL.html

Looks like it fits very tightly although some reviewers say they lose a bit of space.
I don't have my 911 yet, months more to wait for delivery. Does the Porsche bin block access to anything on the sides of the Frunk? Or is it just carpeted walls where it sits.
