Anyone allow their dog in their 991?

I've had my 2015 991 for 3 or 4 months now, but have never let my dog in it. He's a 75 pound standard poodle. When I go to my place at the Jersey shore, I always take him with me, but that means I can't drive the Porsche. He likes to stabilize himself when he's sticking his head out the window by bracing his paw on the dash. I have a full leather interior and can't see any way to keep him from scratching it up. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, other than rolling him up in bubble wrap.

How about some booties on his paws...Whole bunch on-line.

Get a harness for your dog, use it. It's safer for the dog. Safer for you. Has the added benefit of keeping the dog localized. Put some towels or such under the dog. Then take your best buddy everywhere. Dogs love Porsches. It's a known fact! :)

If the pooch is not comfortable with booties, maybe cover the precious and fragile leather. It scratches very easily. Blue tape may not do it, but may help attach some thicker fabric or plastic.

There's some decent fabric covers out there for the seats. Also remember the airbag issue versus weight in the front seat.

Awww man, Pops won't let me put my head out the window and slobber in the wind. :).

Only on short road trips when we can't take my GF's Macan. She sits in her travel bag and I cover anything she could touch with a towel to protect the leather.

She's a good traveler, she's out in literally 5 minutes and sleeps the whole way.

This question reminds me of a recent used car hunt that I pursued for a teenager. We came across several cars in which the dashboard was deeply, horribly scratched. One even had the steering wheel shredded up which really highlighted some questionable pet owner behavior in the car. All of which reminded me to never ever have a dog in the car.

I wouldn't. But then again my 60 lb labradoodle would destroy every bit of alcantara in my car in about 30 seconds, harness or not, booties or not. He only goes in the jeep or the back of the rover. Can't even take him in the wife's BMW.

I have an Australian Shepherd that finds it impossible to keep still and a 90lb Golden Retriever. So, I make wife take the dogs......or I use her SUV.

No. Never. We have cars that serve that purpose, and our three dogs have never set paw inside the 911.

My Great Dane won’t fit comfortably in the 911, so she only rides in the truck. She’s the “crew” for my GMC 1500 Crew Cab truck. See my avatar....

I have a 55 lb standard schnauzer...no way he's ever getting in my car. Truck yes. Ultra nice sports car never.

I haven't had my 911 long but my dogs aren't getting in it. I've got a 45lb Golden Retriever Poodle and a 35lb Cocker Spaniel Poodle. They're gonna have to slum it in my 135i. HAHA
