Anyone allow their dog in their 991?

Our puppy Bedlington Terrier hasn't been yet but certainly will in due course. One major benefit to that breed is they don't shed and his size (19lbs) works just fine for sitting in back.

Cayennes work well for larger dogs, if you have the need.

I removed the rear seat backs, laid down a flannel bed sheet, cut to shape some fairly rigid upholstery foam to fit in the seat wells and real thin over the hump, then covered with a soft heavy blanket. I added a couple pillows into the rear foot wells that keep all the pieces snug from pressure between bucket seat backs and the foam. I bring a towel to set on the front seat for the dog to step on when he climbs into the back. I drive my car regularly and the dog goes to work with me. 45k miles in the past 3 years and not a scratch or hair to be found. Well, maybe a hair....

Is that a wire-haired PG? Beautiful dog!

If I were 30 years younger, the combination of a Porsche and a cute dog hanging out the window might have made me irresistible to the opposite sex and it would have been worth the risk. Since I’m not 30 years younger, I think I’ll relegate the dog to my 2017 Sienna, which has the added benefit of being a company car that I couldn’t care less about.

I wouldn't own a 911 if I limited its use to sunny weekend mornings wearing proper driving attire. It's been a dream of mine since I was 12 and I'm not preserving her for someone else. She's well taken care of but not obsessed over in an OCD kind of way... She gets dirty, I wash her.

This thread answers the long mystery of why a 911 has back seats, all this time I thought it was for kids, clearly the back with seats down makes a very comfy and close to owner ride for mans best friend.

My Porsches have always been working vehicles that sometimes get dirty. When the only vehicle my wife and I had was a 944S, we occasionally took it deer hunting. We got very surprised looks when two Game Wardens found us eating lunch with our unloaded deer rifles learning against the car parked off a PA Game Land dirt road.
