Quick update: the issue seems to have been fixed but not sure what fixed it. My indy cleaned up all 4 ABS sensors and told me they were very dirty with Ferodo pad deposit. He retorqued all 4 calipers after checking if the studs were installed correctly.
The ABS still kicks in earlier but I expected that with the GT3 pads front. At least the car doesn't go nuts when braking hard. Feels a lot more normal. Wish I could fit GT3-sized rear pads!

You should generally use the same pad compound front and rear, or at least use closely related compounds.

They are Ferodo DS11.1 all corners. The front pads are GT3-sized. Rears are stock-sized.
