anything that is glossy clear can be painted matte clear. its just an additive that is mixed with the clear. thats the difference in glossy cars and matte cars.
I did it to all my CF in my Mercedes.
You can reverse and gloss clear on a matte piece by painting it with gloss. Or go back and forth as many times as you want. The only thing bad about matte is that if you rub it or polish it or do anything abrasive to it, it will go glossy. Then you have to re clear it.
