Default Size of windshield for 991.2?

So, I can shop sun shades.
I’ve read some, supposedly designed specifically for this car, are ½” too short & fall down.

I just bought the Porsche one for my 991.2 C2S, I have not actually used it. I will go try and let you know.

Update - Seems to fit just fine.

This is the only car I have ever driven where you get into it on a super hot day 32° C (90°F) and the air-conditioner max button blows cold air within a couple of seconds of starting the car.
combine that with ventilated seats and you don't need a windshield sunscreen!

Yes, the one from Porsche is a bit short and while it does stay up, it could fit better. I now have ceramic tint on the windshield and don't use the shade, and it's really awkward to put it behind you into the back seat area anyway.
Those double circular ones which twist-fold into a compact package could be good with the right size.

I'm not sure what others are seeing. It fits all the way to the top. The sun visors don't push up far enough to force it flat into the surface of the windshield but it can't be any bigger in my case.

Yes, best AC I've ever experienced. It was hot (by Calgary standards) last week, in the 90's... I chose to drive my 911 all week as I knew my Golf R would struggle to keep cool .

For me, it has nothing to do with keeping the car cooler...it is keeping the sun off of a leather dash....

I also have one and agree that it fits pretty well. But the cutout for the rearview mirror is about twice as big as it should be.

That double circular shade is they type I always use for my cars. But, I need the width & height of the windshield in order to get the correct size b4 my car arrives. When the shade is too big it is awkward & sags & when too small, it doesn't fully cover & tends to fall down b4 you can get the visors down.

Top to bottom is about 26" at the sides and 30" in the middle. Side to side at the bottom is about 53" and 45" at the top.
Factory shade is about 2" shy on width, so that's 2" less than my numbers (I mistakenly said short earlier, but it's the other short, width)

Thanks RS!

So, the widest part of the 991.2 windshield = ~ 53"
The tallest part of the windshield (forgetting about the mirror area) is ~ 30"

I'd rather have a double circle -folds like a taco style sunshade that is slightly too wide vs. slightly too narrow. And slightly too tall vs too short.

Ypu obviously don’t park outside in the Southern US. It’s not about the temp, it’s about the sun.

I am from NY, so I didn’t understand either. But now I know why.
