Why, so they don't shift?

These are perfect for jacking your Porsche and lock into position so they dont shift as per previous note.
Porsche Jacking Pads

These are Rubber as I have found that using the aluminum ones scratched the jacking points.

On the 991.2, you can easily reach the plastic oil drain plug by only jacking up the left rear of the car. Then you lower it to let the oil drain for a while and then jack it up again to replace the plug. Easy.

I saw someone using what looked like angled foam blocks that you simply drive/back up on...I'd like to know more about them myself actually.

Quickjacks are great. $1099 delivered from Costco. Gets the whole car up on the four jack points quickly and safely.

Contact the-track-guy here for a set of jack pads for less than $60 shipped. I let my PPF installer use them recently and he said they fit perfectly and did the trick.
