Default Squealing brakes after washing wheels

Finally got around to washing my wheels (using a regular car washing detergent). I now have a really loud squeal coming from one or more wheels. I've read that bedding them in with a series of quick stops to ensure that the discs have some pad material on them, but it's hard to believe that my washing of the wheels would cause any problems like that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Just a little glaze. Ride her hard with a few hard stops.

From your wheels or your brakes?

It's a feature of our beloved cars which drives me crazy on a daily basis, here's a nice explanation from Porsche

Brake harder...like get into abs for a couple 70-20mph slow downs... glaze and squeal goes away...they just need rebedded...no issue.

Get a Master Blaster air blower. It'll dry the brakes, wheels, calipers, rotors, etc quickly and easily. Prevents rust that occurs after washing with an aggressive wheel cleaner. Blows out the rotors and prevents the brake dust and water from spinning out the first time you drive it. Which ruins the wheels you just washed. I could tell you another dozen ways it makes washing the car easier.

Yup MB FTW!

And our brakes don't "squeal". They vibrate. Get with the Porsche program.

It’s a feature not a problem.
