Default A Big Thank You to Lid Liner

I tried to remove the Lid Liner from my 911 so I could reuse it on the new car when it arrives. I broke one of the retainer clips. This happened on a Saturday. I sent Lid Liner an email asking if I could purchase a new clip. Long story short, they sent me some replacements at no charge. Arrived in 2 days. Great service and great product. They also included a Coupon Code RF14 for 15% off all lid Protectors. Use the code if you need a liner.

I I just received mine today. I wish I had ordered it sooner. Took one minute to install. Looks like it was original equipment

It’s always nice when a company lives up to their customer service promises.

I have a question, how many people who have these protective accessories actually find them useful? I think the design is really neat but everytime I have thought about getting one, I think about what I put in the frunk and it seems unnecessary.

I had a lid liner in my last 911 (997.2) and it definitely saved my hood at least once. I was leaving my brother in law's place and was parked in a dark section of his driveway. I opened the hood, put my iPad down on the area above the frunk, loaded the frunk, and closed the hood. It looked a little high so I kept trying to close it. Finally figured it was closed enough... and then went looking for my iPad. Oops.

This reminds me to order one for my current car, thanks !

I love my Das Schlid Lid Liner. Completes the look of the frunk underside.

Surprised it is not an option. (But glad it is not, as it would be $750.00!)

I have one. Looks like OEM

I had one on my 997 and I don't think it ever came into use. The only time I ever stuff my trunk is with soft stuff. So I have not yet purchased one for my 991 and don't intent to do so. Great product don't get me wrong, but for me I just don't feel the need.

Maybe you know this, maybe not. But there is a BIG difference between the 997 lid liner (full coverage) and the 991 (just the small cargo surface). But the same price. Ha. I really like how the 991 looks, because you can still see all the factory painted surfaces and architecture & structure. It looks very finished and functional. Not just a giant protective piece of plastic. YMMV.

For me, the main advantage (piece of mind) of the lid liner. is knowing when I have the cargo area full, that noting with scratch or abrade the underside hood paint, on a long road trip. Less so about a reverse dent, but that could happen, too, just not as much a concern for me.

I tend to take my car on long trips, so the frunk is always full. It's nice to know that I don't need to worry about rubbing. It's a cheap and easy to install accessory.
