Default Possible to go to "wide" exhaust on a pse 991.2?

I'm not a fan of the center type exhaust on the 991.2 and prefer the way the "base" wide exhaust tips in rear look.

Is it possible to revert back to a wide exhaust on a car that came with a more center type exhaust from the factory?

I guess anything is possible. If you pay enough. Porsche probably won’t do it but someone will.
I can imagine it will hurt your resell value.

When I first saw the 991.2 at its introduction I also wasn’t to enthusiastic.
But now I really like it, suits the car and the design and it’s a distinctive trademark of the mk2.

You'd be removing the PSE.

I'm not too concerned, going aftermarket exhaust anyhow.

Find someone with an S and no PSE, and the two of you swap exhaust and rear fascia.

Lexvan is correct: Best and cheapest way is to find someone with an S who wants PSE and swap. The fascia and muffler/tips are interchangeable..

Here's another idea. Have your exhaust tips ceramic powder coated satin black. Maybe this muted look is better suited for you. Others here have done it. I can't find their posts/pictures at the moment, my ninja search skills are currently lacking.

I found one picture, I know there are more, but I can't find them. See post #15 here:

If BoldSharpe's widebody rear valance won't fit I may be interested as my car is a base Carrera 991.2. I have stock tips and also black chrome quad tips.

Or just buy a new rear lower valance made for the non-PSE cars ...

Why? I don't think so. If someone has a 991.2 and wants to add PSE, we've never seen them having to buy new cats too.

You might be right but why are all the aftermarket sport cats different for pse and non pse? They certainly look different

Yes. You need to swap cats also. Base exhaust cats are single outlet, PSE equipped cars have 2 outlets.

I also would not advise someone to trade their 3.5k PSE for a standard system. The diffuser costs peanuts to replace

There's plenty of aftermarket exhaust options that are valved and have quad outlets on the side on the car that will include the catted (or bypass section).. Armytrix, Agency Power, etc.
