I have a 991.1 C2S, Manual with all the performance/fun options (PDCC, SPASM, PSE, and SC)

I owned this car for 4 years and have 56,000 miles. For the most part the car has been bulletproof and such a perfect, "one car does it all", for California.

The only thing I would realistically upgrade to would be a used 991.1 Turbo S or a 991.1 GT3. But both are in a price range that I can't quite swallow.
This. Exactly this. In every way.

This most likely will be my LAST Porsche and I have owned 6 in the past 45 years, 5 of them being the 911. I now own a '16 Carrera 4GTS that I custom ordered with all the bells and whistles but none of the frills (read leather everywhere). I am 75 years of age and most always keep my cars for at least 10 years. Present car is last of the NA engines in the stock Carrera line of cars and ticks all of the right boxes. Undoubtedly, it is a keeper and will likely appreciate in value over time.

Thank you very much, sir! Yeah I really count my lucky stars for it. And to think, I was inches away from giving up on my 911 search before getting it (high prices, which is great for holders, and how hard it was to find the right options, etc.)!

At this point, probably for 10+ years. There isn't anything out there that I'd rather have. Perhaps a 911 T if I were to get the chance to drive one, but I'd have to cough up $40k for what, to me, wouldn't be that large of a difference.

Ahem. Most of us driving GT3s and the like would disagree with that. No respect, no respect

Probably indefintely ('18 991.2 GTS), I'm not a fan of the new Panamera/Cayenne interior and the 992 is getting that. It's the only car that has a backseat and a Manual Transmission, so I can take my kids everywhere. I'm probably at the point where I'll amass cars instead of trading them in lol, maybe a Huracan Spyder, 488 Spyder, or 570S Spyder (most likely due to crap resale) to have a convertible along side in the future.

That is one if the reasons I finally gave in, bit the bullet, and ordered new! I just could not find a CPO Sapphire Blue (let alone Aqua hahaha!) that was equipped like I wanted, with the mileage and condition that I was looking for. Just not that many out there.

I've wanted a 911 since I was 13 years old; I'm 40 now. After owning a Panamera as my first Porsche, then a '16 Cayenne (I currently still have), I would prefer to keep the 991.2 for a long time. I normally switch out vehicles every 2-3 years, but there is something that I just can't explain in words when driving the 991.2. Maybe because I've longed for this for years...... Bottom line is that the 2-3 year car turn-around may not apply in this case:-)

Like most of you guys, I do also change cars around 3~4 years.

My wife made me sign an agreement no changing cars for 20 years when I got the Porsche

you guys think it's a wise decision?

Your wife made you sign an agreement? I hope you're joking.

Don't know how long or how many miles I'll rack up but I'll keep it until a repair isn't logical.

Right now 85K (82,800 miles are mine ) and counting.
