Default I lost one of my exhaust tips on the freeway!!! Options?

Hi,

I believe I lost one of my fabspeed exhaust tips on the freeway today!!!!!
Did not notice anything and when I parked the car the left tip was gone.
I have a fabspeed supersport x pipe exhaust.

What are my options besides buying a replacement from Fabspeed for $315 (for one tip)?
Do you recommend something else?

As usual, thank you for your time.

You could take the other tip off so they match

Those hold on with a pinch bolt. I would check the other side before proceeding. If one was installed too loose, the other might be as well.

Thanks Churchill.
i called the previous owner and he told me this happened to him already twice and fabspeed sent him new tips under warranty.
not quite sure why this is happening.
i called them but they won t send them to me since I am not the original buyer.
i have no problem in paying if I have to.
315 seemed little excessive so I was checking to see if other options were available.

Will the PSE exhaust tips fit? I know yours fab speed but I don’t know if the tips would be a direct fit.

If I remember correctly, those Fabspeed tips have been known to fall off. I would not be spending more money on tips that will probably fall off again. Go another route.

Have the original owner contact fabspeed and tell them it fell off. How the hell do they know he sold the car?

Yup Happened on my 997 with full Fabspeed exhaust. And they replaced one for me also. I started to be so conscious of it, I used to check for tightness every day. Once I tightened it went to work came home went to check it and it came off in my hand. Do not know why this kept happening but was a PITA. It seemed after a few months of heat cycles it stopped getting loose. Who knows.

I was waiting to see what yahoo would comment first... SHAMMERMAN

Nice product. Nice design. How about the company stands behind the fact that the product clearly has issues and either replace them ALL or continue to reimburse customers when they randomly and arbitrarily fall off. Since its happened to the original owner already and now the second owner, its clearly a problem.

BTW: Did the original owner disclose this to the buyer? How are his ethics.

Welcome to the real world, now go get some cotton candy

There are some fairly inexpensive Chinese import options. Check the board, I remember reading about some folks purchasing to replace the OEM tips.

From now on, I'm going to make sure I don't follow a Porsche with FabSpeed exhaust tips too closely.
