Damn Black GTS wheels ( Dirty )
Im a clean freak and of course you gotta take care of your car. These damn Black GTS centerlocks are suchhh a pain in the *** to keep clean. Dirt/ rust/ brake dust just wanna attactch to this wheels. Every drive ill come home. What ya knoww the wheels are dirty af. I gotta clean then twice a day lol. Hate how the rust from the rotors will show a orange residue all over the wheels. Even after cleaning them its still kinda there. Im sure this has been discussed before. Im just rantinnn.
Gonna assume powder coat them to a better finsh so everything doesn't stick as it does now. Or get them as clean as possible and coat them w some kind of ceramic coating. Any just spray cleaners to help me?
Im going silver wheels next Porsche haha.

Similar boat for me … with the RS Spyder wheels that are a PITA to clean. I use Sonax to clean and just applied Sonax wheel rim shield (spray on product) to try as its supposed to help with avoiding brake dust etc.

Silver wheels are so much better.
Every speck of brake dust and road dirt on the spokes and in the barrels shows up clearly so they can't be missed from any distance!
On the other hand, the paint is shiny, so I compound and wax them occasionally, and most of the dust washes off easily with normal car wash soap and water.

Yea im gonna assume the Silver ones are painted w actuall paint like you said above. Wish the black ones were like that. Black ones have a textured feel not smooth. Everything gets caught. Silver ones just spray rt off. Grr. Annoying. Best bet would be powder coat them a flat black or satin w smoother finish. But of course $$$$

If you coat your wheels, cleaning becomes infinity easier. Took my car to get detailed late last year. They coated the wheels. 90% of the brake dust literally came off with a water hose. Some Sonax and woolies took of the rest easily, just some agitation. The easiest wheel cleaning I ever did -- ever.

Do the leading edges of your wheel spikes get pitted? I’ve notice my winter alloys getting pretty rough. Maybe need to buy higher quality wheels?

I put it on my wheels after every wash. It works AWESOME.

Is this safe for the center locks? PH balanced?

Yes they're a pain to clean...but damn they look great when they are clean! I use a simple green/ water solution, wipe them with a rag, then soap and water, wipe them dry with another rag. I'm going to try some of the Armor all mentioned above.

Man I was jonesing for the 20 spyders when getting my 17 Cab. Thankfully wife talked me out of them. Knowing how **** I am, would have taken me most of Saturday to clean them. Beautiful wheels!
