Oil change procedure, Targa GTS, spoiler brake light

For those of you doing your own oil changes, can anyone talk about the disassembly that is required at the back of the car? Particularly, any wiring connections for the 3rd brake light mounted in the spoiler. Just had the oil changed about 2 weeks ago. This morning I got the “Check High-Level Brake Light” warning on the dash. Checked it when I got home and sure enough the brake light in the spoiler no longer works. The one in the grill does work (when spoiler is down).

You should not need to disconnect any wiring to the lights to do an oil change.
You do remove the fans and possibly disconnect the fan power plugs, but that is it.

The spoiler wiring connector is on the right side, under the little plate that has the Mobil 1 sticker on it.
Maybe it got bumped?

I just recently had the “check high level brake light” on as well. Took it to the dealer for the regurlar maintenance & had them take care of that issue as well. It was around $500 to get it resolved. They said some of the wiring was pinched & needed to be replaced 😒 let me know if you want some more detailed info on it! I can send you a pic of my invoice

Is your car still under warranty? Or was it when this was repaired?
