On second thought... it’s more of a vibration. The car is vibrating a bit. It’s only at idle.

The louder exhaust will vibrate a little more than OE. I just installed my AWE exhaust on my 991.1S. Can you take a pic under the bumper of the exhaust install?

I installed the AWE on both my 991's. On the first, no vibration at idle, on the second vibration. This is a common issue according to many users. If you want stock performance, no vibration I suggest that you go back to the stock exhaust.

Agree, I was curious to see if his installer installed the hose clamp brackets. I have seen that step skipped. Its also a PITA.

It's because you removed the center muffler, which in addition to sound also reduces vibration. X-pipes have lots of issues (however, there are many here who love them) however they are no substitute for a properly and professionally designed exhaust.

I was going to mention the center muffler as well. Since the center muffler is removed, there is nowhere for the increased noise/exhaust pulses to go but into the chassis. But I dig the increased rawness. Nothing but compliments.

Personally, I love the AWE switch path. It really is perfect for a car with PSE. True jeckyl and hyde exhaust.

I had a vibration on mine post install, but after re-torquing all the bolts it was reduced substantially.

Same. I retorqued my nuts and clamps thanks to a previous post from Code, and my vibration is still there but must less intrusive. I used a torque wrench originally but had it set several pounds over recommended spec. Second go round, I torqued by feel. 2012 3.4 with Sharkwerks X pipe.

Install looks right. Re-torquing the bolts might help but I believe a certain amount of vibration is going to be normal with a bypass exhaust.

Edit: Those bottom clamps should go around the OE exhaust support as well as the exhaust pipe. Hard to see from the pic but I would ensure they are tight against the OE support.
