I like the concept of WAZE and the interactive network features, but the navigation is terrible. I stopped using it because it’s so bad.

PCM will not need to be updated, your iPhone will. Additionally, Waze and Google Maps will likely need updates to their apps to support CarPlay.

Agree- CarPlay is absolute crap in its current form- and I usually have PCM set to iPod vs CarPlay just so I can toggle between applications on my phone without hiccups. Once waze and Google maps get on board, I think it will change things for me.
