Hi,

The stages are set up to keep all of this under control with levels of added performance based on supporting mods. The factory coolers are low in capacity so they heat up quick. However at stage 1 and 2 they also cool off and are ready for another run. With stage 3 we can push more power and not have this issue.

For the 991.2, they are offering a third radiator kit.

Do you think it would be advisable to install it with the Stage 1 version ? By the way..... any dyno graphs for the base carrera ?

Only if you track the car. You would need extended time at WOT ( like over 20 minutes) at elevated temps to over load the stock radiators.

I have AMS in stock and they have been great as usual. TiAL are almost ready after some serious testing and they will be awesome! No need for a 3rd radiator from what we have seen so far. Perhaps in hard track conditions as Porsche intended. Water temp have never been an issue since the 996 but these cars are different so we will keep an eye on it. So far sop good. The base Carrera picked up over 100hp as well! More info coming.

Thanks Arter. My car is a daily driver and a cab version, so no track usage. In normal highway driving and on a normal summer day, I'm seeing temperatures of 230º or even a little bit higher if its really hot.

porsche wants the standard oil temp to be close to 230-234F for emissions control under normal conditions.
Switch to sport or sport plus and the temps will quickly drop 15F or more under the same load.
I wouldnt worry about oil temps until you reach at least 265F.

Still "just addings some finishing touches"?

We've been getting 2-3 week ETA's for at least a month.

I did say this June and that has been the goal. It's not tuning touches guys. This has to work for everyone as trouble free as possible across the globe and AP manager has to be ready. We are talking about 3 octanes, 7 models, several stages and hundreds of ECU ID's. Just tons of small work that is getting done now. I will do my best to continue to answer questions and be here for support. Hang in there.

There seems to be plenty of information on oil temps based on tracked 991 series II cars - no mysteries.

You didn't answer many of my questions e.g. AFR at redline, injector duty cycle, boost levels, does the ecu have to come out. Also corrections, were any applied and are you aware of the Porsche view on corrections?

If you install independent sensors you will get higher readings. It's close and all simulated/designed in but they do not match and cars with independent sensors have verified. There is a lot to it and it's not the focus of this thread I just though it was interesting that arter caught that. It goes deeper thats all. As for your questions like I mentioned it's all in the first few posts mate. ECU must come out to unlock the OBD on these cars. Then you can use the AP thereafter. As for detailed calibration information tuners do not post this up but you can monitor for yourself on your own car by logging with the AP. Of course tuning parameters are all safe and tested with proper thresholds.

Cheers

AFR, injector duty cycle and boost - this is basic information. This in part, allows an educated buyer to form an opinion. Its common to plot boost and AFR.........

Agreed. I would expect COBB to provide all of these details as soon as this officially releases. I think the intention of this thread was to make the community aware our long wait is about to be answered with a release.
