This is nothing new for GEICO. I had them for many years and two car thefts. Premiums hardly moved. I was always very satisfied with their customer service. About 5/6 years ago, for no apparent reason, they went up between 16 and 22% each year for three years. When questioned, I got the usual BS. So, like any rational person, I shopped around and switched insurers.

I dumped geico about one year ago due to a very large year over year increase. They said it was due to the large number of claims in my state. I stated they should increase the rates for those responsible for the accidents and they just shrugged me off. America.......

True enough, that's the reason you should get out of bed with Geico...They have been putting it to the public for years.

Central coast California here. I had AAA for 30+ yrs. I switched to Nationwide b/c AAA would not sell me a homeowners policy and I needed blanket liability with a teenage driver. 3 drivers/4cars is $5950 which I think is a lot. AAA for the same coverage would have been $6200 which I think was a pretty sizable increase from before.
