Default Will 991 carbon fiber warp and crack in Cali heat like 997 did???

Hi folks

I have a 997 cab witha lot of carbon fiber and it all warped and cracked after time. Now I'm looking at a 991 GTS which has carbon center console and on the doors. Do I expect a repeat problem? Or have they improved things?

Thanks!

Another cabriolet?

Use a sunshade when parked. Maybe window tint. Stuff like that will help. A couple years ago, I gave away my steering wheel cover to a Rennlister with carbon interior:

I have tint and a sunscreen. It gets 115 degrees on the worst days...and we have a lot of 100 degree days in summer.

I too had a 997 with carbon inside.....the steering wheel cracked, the trimming on the dash warped, the cover on the door that flips open warped and came off. I replaced all those parts with non carbon. Keep in mind ...except for the steering wheel ..these were non sun exposed areas. I do not no know if Porsche improved their carbon fibre....but when I bought my 991 I ordered without it. It gets hot where you live in ...cover on no cover.
IMHO

I have carbon in my TTS. Don't park it outside but temps get high in the garage in the summer. No warping or cracking at all.

My last 991S, before it went to Valhalla, was 4 years old with CF trim and it was fine.

I have a 2015 Carrera GTS with the GTS Interior Package which includes carbon fiber trim. Absolutely no problems in 3.5 years.
