Shame that a 911 sat for a year with no one driving it. What is the world coming to?

Mine was almost three years old with about 2,200 miles. Did an oil change and brake fluid change as soon as I received it. Only real issue I had was that the battery didn't seem to hold a charge that well. Changed it and everything else seems to work fine.

With todays high pressure fuel pumps and fuel injectors there is less to worry about. If it were an older car or a carburated car I would be very worried. We find that with todays ethanol blended fuels that when this gas sits in the float bowl of a carburetor that the gas turns into a greenish jelly like substance. This fouls and clogs all the small orifices of any carburetor. Typically if we let todays fuels sit for over a year that we wind up having to take the carbs apart, pull the jets and clean the congealed jelly crap out of them.
We rarely have problems when gas sits in a modern fuel injected motor. I would bet, that if a car truly sat for over a year and was never started at all, that there could wind up being a problem with either the fuel pump, fuel filters or injectors.
I would suggest running a couple of tanks of gas through it and see if there are any running issues such as rough idle etc.

1 year less warranty is the downside.

I bought my '15 C2S new that sat for 12 months at the dealer (inside showroom). Only had 50 miles on it when I purchased it (and I put 30 of those miles on with test drives). I asked for an oil change prior to accepting delivery. I was lucky as the warranty had not been punched. No issues two years in.
