Rare Shades: If in Monterey this August…
000 and @ptsrs invite you to join us for a cup of coffee at Rare Shades on Thursday, 8/23 at the Canepa Motorsport Museum—a beautiful, hour-ish drive north from Monterey Car Week on one of its quieter days.
General admission is open to all, with free parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to display your Porsche in the dedicated parking area for PTS and unusual factory color cars, please register at 000magazine.com/rare-shades (registration includes some cool 000 swag).

This is such a cool idea, wish I could be there. I'm addicted to Will's Instagram account.

Fantastic idea. I really wish I could attend! Maybe next year you could throw one for the east coast?

Yes, the idea is to do Rare Shades from time to time in various locations, though the "getaway" during Monterey Car Week may turn into a yearly affair. We'll see....

Just a friendly reminder that registration for next week's event closes this Thursday. We've currently got more than 40 Porsches registered in "Rare Shades" (PTS and unusual colors), and everyone else is of course invited to bring any and all Porsches for free, with parking up to 150~ cars on a first come, first serve basis. Corsa Lusso will be serving coffee on site, and we'll have free local pastries as well.
If you still want to register, you can do so here for $30 (includes special 000 hat and event poster):

Please feel free to spread the word! All are invited...

Ah, there we go.
Wanted to make it a bit more inclusive than PTS only, so registration is also open to any Porsche in a rarely seen color. Have a Lime Gold Metallic 991, a Dunkelblau 928S, a Carmine Red Carrera 3.2, an Anthracite 911 SC, or a Leaf Green longhood? This is the show for it...
And we wanted to make it a lot more inclusive than that by inviting everyone to join us. Should be free parking in the main Canepa lot for another 100 cars. Coffee on site, free pastries too...as well as a chance to peek at the Canepa Motorsport Museum and restoration shops.

Thanks to everyone who came out! Cross-posting this very cool post by @hushypushy, as it's the coolest set of pics I've seen so far.

I took a few photos, and if anyone wants to skip ahead and look at everything, please visit my Flickr album here: https://tinyurl.com/ycah3jfv
Normally you can click on each pic to go to Flickr, but Rennlist is very weird with Flickr links, so visit the above link for super high-res versions of these pics. Feel free to share, repost, or print them out--just please give me credit if you repost them. My Instagram handle is @hushypushy.
Since this is the 991 GT3/RS/R section, I'll stick to 991 photos here. I believe many (most?) of the cars here are owned by Rennlisters

And to think that some people still buy Silver, Black and White cars!
