Would you let Pep Boys or other Franchise do your 991.2 oil change
I think an oil change is minimal work. Wondering if its worth letting a franchise do the oil change. Anyone have experience with using the franchises?

It is easy work, but you need to pull the fans to get to the filter. Also, they won't be able to reset the service light. Not worth it to let a 18 yo kid touch your car. DIY or find a Porsche indy.

Please don't do that ... at the very least, go to an indy shop. Not Pepboys.

The next best is an independent garage that services Porsches. I have one nearby and they are somewhat cheaper than the dealer. About 200 bucks.

No, definitely not.
I did the initial oil change myself. No trouble at all. My 1-yr one was due recently, There was some sort of update due for the gauge cluster and I didn't have a way to reset the service interval, so I had the dealer do the work. The price made my head almost explode. I think I'll pick up an icarsoft device and just do the simple stuff like oil changes myself. One change would more than pay for it. And I'll just have the dealer do any major services.
I also have a 4-post lift in my garage, further reducing any excuse for not doing it myself...

I'd rather take my chances having my car valet parked.
