2019 GTS Build, Part 2 - GT Silver and Silver Wheels

Thank you for all the helpful comments on my earlier post inviting comments on my 2019 GTS build.
The most interesting comment was TOO MUCH SILVER with GT Silver car and silver Carrera S wheels. I am having a hard time embracing the black wheels, but I can understand GT Silver plus silver wheels being a bit much. I have reviewed the GTS Pictures Thread - not many examples of GT Silver with silver 991.2 Carrera S wheels. dmk2 and DBH posted some pics. thank you. Any more pics, please? Agonizing over my build...... Thank you |
Don't hesitate! On a GTS it is unique enough that it really stands out next to the black center lock default. I just wish I could have specified sport classic wheels... |
I think the GT Silver with silver wheels looks great and is a nice change from the standard all black Turbo S wheels, that being said I also like those black TurboS wheels that are unique to the GTS. Can't go wrong either way. I'd consider adding the LED headlights but that's just me because I really like them on the 991.1 & .2. Some don't. Good call on no sunroof IMO

lawdawg- Rest easy. Your spec is fantastic whether you select the silver Carrera wheels or the CLs. I spec'd the CLs paint to match the GT silver exterior as I prefer silver wheels as well. Again I don't think you can go wrong.

For reference this was my car with CXX silver wheels. While it might look monochromatic to some I received a ton of compliments.

Good on you. I love 911s in silver on matching silver wheels—and GT Silver on GT Silver wheels will look particularly great. I kept configuring a GT Silver 991.2 Carrera S with Sport PASM and Carrera Sport wheels in GT Silver (http://www.porsche-code.com/PKKXBEB8). I suspect a GT Silver Carrera GTS on GT Silver wheels is gonna be a subtle stunner.

I am another one that is in the camp of loving my GT Silver 991, the bright silver Carrera S (BrilliantChrom 88z) wheels not so much. Platinum Satin (0B5) look great, gloss Black look great too, the dark gray on the 991T work well and the satin silver CLs on the GT3 and 911R also look great. |
