Default LOST MY SPARE KEY

Not sure where, not sure when.

Emailed with MMC (NYC) and was quoted $550 plus tax for replacement.

Porsche Monmouth is $450.

Gone are the days a key was a 250 bucks out the door?

They gave me $50 off at MMC so total is $499 plus tax.

Will teach me to be more careful about where I put my car keys! That's for sure.

I am still there....refused to get a new key for now. The problem is that if you lose your last key, you are totally screwed because they have to replace/reprogram the entire ignition (or something like that).

Don't forget to ask for your PCA discount on parts. I recall 10%.

Even more gone is the 79 cent key at the hardware store (or maybe $5 more with a genuine Porsche blank).

You insurance company will likely pay up to $400 for a new one...mine did.

No one has asked. Can you try remembering where you last saw your key. There usually is some probability of success near the location where you last saw/remember it. I would try finding your key before ordering another set

The certain way to find a lost item is to purchase and use a replacement. You’ll trip over the lost one.

How much did they cost back in 2004? I don't remember them being expensive.

Exactly what happened to my wife's minivan key (I think it was $350). We now have 3 minivan keys.
