I keep seeing a 991 around town with the headlight style that has 4 small bright lights. Ive seen these on Panameras and I think the 718s but this is the first I noticed on a 991

Was/is this a factory option? if so, what models is this a factory option on?

I have these on my 991.1 - I believe they are the DRLs if u opted for PDLS (or PDLS+). I remember these as a must have for me because I favored them over the DRLs on the lower bumper.

A second version of these showed up on the 991.2. The first photo below comes on the 991.1 and 991.2 with LED headlights and the DRL LEDs are in a ring around the outer edges of the headlight. The second photo below comes on the 991.2 without the LED headlights... the 4-point LEDs for the DRLs are in a tighter cluster nearer the center around the headlight lens itself. The 991.1 did not have that option with the non-LED headlights and only had the DRL strip in the brow above the intake. (The first image happens to be showing the brow lights for a Turbo, but the ring is the same on all models with LED headlights)

I have bi-xenon headlights on my 18 GTS. The DRLs are 4 point LEDs.
I didn't want to pay extra on headlights.

The 4 LED DRL lights are standards on all 991.2s. I have PDLS and non LED head lights and they are there. It looks really cool IMO too.
